Seeking help from a qualified professional is an important step toward gaining insight on challenges you face and improving your circumstances. You don’t have to walk your journey alone!
Previously, there was a lot of stigma around seeing a therapist but people have become increasingly educated about mental health issues and the benefits of counselling and psychotherapy. Feeling stuck? Not like yourself? Unable to manage or cope with the day to day? Not sure how to move forward after a difficult life event? Book an appointment to see how her services can empower you to move forward.
Fees for service may be covered by an extended health benefits plan. Please inquire with your insurance company to determine available coverage and whether a referral is needed. Check your benefits guide or call your insurance provider and ask if you have coverage for a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Fees are paid at the time of therapy, and receipts are provided to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement, if coverage is available to you.
The fee for each session is $140. Payment is made at the time of therapy by e-transfer, credit card or cash.
One hour is set aside for each appointment. You’ll receive approximately 50 minutes of face-to-face time with Jennifer. The remaining 10 minutes is part of the therapy session, but provides time for her to review and document case notes.
It depends on your situation. For some people, a few sessions are sufficient. Others may benefit from additional therapy. During your initial visit, you’ll work with Jennifer to develop a plan that’s best for you.
Yes. Your doctor may recommend it if you experience anxiety or depression. It could be an option for you and you can discuss this with Jennifer during your initial appointment.
Counselling can empower you by helping you process information, realize options, make choices, and use effective tools and strategies to move forward. Psychotherapy is treatment in response to a diagnosable mental health issue such as depression. The Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association provides a more in-depth distinction between the two on its website.
Counselling appointment times are set aside especially for you. As such, Jennifer requires a minimum 24 hours’ notice for appointment cancellations. Clients who provide less than 24 hours notice or miss their appointment, will be responsible to cover the standard 50-minute session fee.
